I am Vivek Arya, an educator with a strong passion for making learning both effective and enjoyable. With years of classroom experience and a solid academic background, I am dedicated to helping students confidently prepare for Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations. My academic journey began at the University of Delhi, where I completed my undergraduate degree in History. It was here that my interest in history deepened and turned into a genuine effort to understand how the past continues to shape the present. This interest guided me to Jamia Millia Islamia, where I completed my Master’s degree in History, further strengthening my subject knowledge and teaching perspective. To translate academic knowledge into effective classroom practice, I pursued a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from Chaudhary Charan Singh University. During this period, I developed a strong understanding of student psychology and diverse learning needs. This training helped me design lessons that are simple, engaging, and accessible, ensuring that every student, regardless of their learning pace, can understand and enjoy history.
Philosophy
"You have a right to “Karma” (actions) but never to any Fruits there of. You should never be motivated by the results of your actions, nor should there be any attachment in not doing your prescribed activities." - Bhagavad Gita
"History is not a narrative of kings and battles alone; it is the story of human effort and imagination in shaping the world we live in. Understanding our past through evidence, not myth, is essential to grasp the complexity of our present." - Romila Thapar
I have had the privilege of teaching History at both Radha Govind Public School, Meerut, and currently at BNG International School, where I serve as a Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) in History. Throughout my career, I have consistently focused on making history meaningful and relevant for students. My approach goes beyond textbook learning. I design interactive lesson plans, incorporate multimedia resources, and organize debates, presentations, and group discussions that help students engage with historical events in a thoughtful and analytical manner. With years of classroom experience, I’ve come to believe that effective teaching is not just about delivering content but about building curiosity, encouraging critical thinking, and helping students see connections between the past and the present. I strive to create an environment where students feel confident to ask questions, challenge ideas, and express their understanding creatively. Moreover, I dedicate time to helping students master exam strategies and build the academic discipline needed for board success, while also nurturing a deeper appreciation for the subject. My goal is not only to ensure academic achievement but also to foster independent learners who value the importance of historical knowledge in shaping a better future.
After years of witnessing students struggle with unclear notes, insufficient guidance, and limited access to quality resources, I felt a strong need to bridge this gap—this led to the creation of vivekarya.site. The platform is a reflection of my commitment to making learning accessible, structured, and engaging for students of Class 10 and Class 12, especially those following the NCERT curriculum. The resources I provide, including chapter-wise notes, revision guides, quizzes, video lessons, and downloadable PDFs, are designed to break down complex topics into understandable concepts, reinforce key ideas, and prepare students effectively for their board exams. I believe that education should empower, not overwhelm, which is why every material I create is aimed at building student confidence and promoting independent learning. My passion for teaching extends beyond the classroom: I constantly read, research, and explore new pedagogical tools to stay updated with changing academic needs. I’m also actively engaging with students and educators through Instagram and other digital platforms, where I share study strategies, historical facts, research insights, and motivational content. This online presence allows me to reach a wider audience and contribute positively to their academic journey. For me, education is not a one-time act but a continuous process, and I strive to be both a guide and a learner, someone who helps students stay focused, motivated, and genuinely curious about the world they study.
I offer comprehensive support to students through a range of academic and educational initiatives. My courses are carefully designed to help students build a strong foundation in history, with clear explanations, real-world connections, and exam-focused strategies. Alongside teaching, I actively engage in research and scholarly writing, contributing to academic discussions through publications and ongoing projects. I also provide curated resources such as study materials, recommended readings, assignments, quizzes, and downloadable PDFs, all aimed at simplifying learning and boosting student confidence. Through my blog, I reflect on history, education, and research methodologies, sharing insights from both the classroom and the academic world. Additionally, I participate in interviews, media appearances, and public talks to share perspectives on education and inspire a broader audience. Whether it’s through lessons, videos, or written content, my goal remains to make learning accessible, engaging, and deeply meaningful.
